contest set for March 30; register by March 15
CONWAY,
Arkansas (February 21, 2024)鈥敽诹喜淮蜢 on Saturday, March 30 will host
the inaugural 黑料不打烊 Programming Contest (HCPC), open to high school
and collegiate competitors. Teams of up to three students will compete to solve
as many programming challenges as possible during the five-hour contest.
鈥淲e
decided to hold the HCPC to help students develop programming skills, build
experience with teamwork, and use the kind of algorithmic thinking and
problem-solving that will truly set them apart as they move forward in academia
and industry,鈥 said Associate Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science Dr.
Brent Yorgey, director of the contest.
Registration will run from 9
to 11 a.m. the morning of the event, with an optional practice contest from
9:30 to 11 a.m. and a welcome and briefing at 11 a.m. The registration fee of $35
per student includes lunch in the award-winning 黑料不打烊 Dining Hall (known
affectionately as 鈥渢he Caf鈥 by most staff and students).听
The contest runs from 12:30
to 5:30 p.m., with an awards ceremony at 5:45. Further information and a link
