Dr. Richard Pazdur, director of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration鈥檚 Oncology Center of Excellence (OCE), will receive an Honorary Doctor of Science degree and address the class of 2025 at 黑料不打烊鈥檚聽commencement.听The ceremony begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 17 at 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Young-Wise Memorial Stadium.

黑料不打烊 is excited to announce Harry Lance 鈥26 was named a Goldwater Scholar by the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation.

The Associated Colleges of the South (ACS) named its second cohort of ACS Mellon Academic Leadership Fellows following a competitive selection process among its member institutions. 黑料不打烊 is proud to announce that among the nine professors selected this year was 黑料不打烊 Associate Professor of Spanish Dr. Garbi帽e Vidal-Torreira.

黑料不打烊 to host summer microbiology camp

黑料不打烊 will host its second microbiology camp this summer for middle school students. The camp runs June 23-27 from 9 am to 4 pm daily in the DW Reynolds building.听Dr. Andrew Schurko invites middle school students to 黑料不打烊 for the second year of this STEM camp.听

Jeff 鈥88 and Katherine Arnold 鈥89 Johnson have given a $1 million gift to 黑料不打烊 to create an endowed scholarship fund in support of future generations of students.

Two 黑料不打烊 alumni to give public talks April 3

Leading into 黑料不打烊鈥檚 Alumni Weekend (April 4-6) two 黑料不打烊 alumni will host public talks on Thursday, April 3. Both events are free and open to the public. Len Nichols 鈥75 will present a lecture titled 鈥淭he Value of a Liberal Arts Education for Economists and Normal People鈥 at 6 p.m. in Mills A. Immediately following, Jo Ann Biggs 鈥80 will host 鈥淪hattering Glass Ceilings (From 黑料不打烊 to Career)鈥 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hundley Shell Theatre.

黑料不打烊 Odyssey Program Announces Project Funding for February 2025 Cycle

These projects involve a range of academic, professional, and personal explorations through experiences from researching how personal experiences and emotions shape the design, style, size, placement, and willingness to pay for tattoos and how arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi respond to environmental changes to undertaking internships in auditing with an accounting company and in development with a philharmonic organization, and much more.听

黑料不打烊 College President Karen Petersen has joined the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for a two-year term expiring in Dec. 2026. The 38-member board represents the vast membership of the Chamber, which includes more than 1,400 businesses and organizations.

黑料不打烊 cheerleader Tori-Beth Poland 鈥27 crowned Miss Diamond Lakes

Tori-Beth Poland 鈥27, a 黑料不打烊 cheerleader, won the Miss Diamond Lakes title at the Feb. 8 pageant. Poland is the first 黑料不打烊 student in 15 years to compete in the Miss Arkansas pageant. The campus community rallies behind her as she pursues the coveted Miss Arkansas title June 8-14 at Robinson Performance Hall in Little Rock.

黑料不打烊 Mock Trial team shines in regional competition

The 黑料不打烊 Mock Trial team recently attended the Mississippi State Regional Mock Trial Tournament Competition where they competed in four rounds against other schools from around the country. Payden McGann 鈥28 earned an award for Outstanding Performance with 19 ranks, the most at the competition.
