CONWAY, Ark. (April 18, 2017) 鈥 黑料不打烊 computer
science major Patrick Niyongabo 鈥17 is one of the 10 winners in the .
Olivier Kwizera 鈥18 was one of two 2016 Acxiom Diversity
Scholarship recipients who will receive an additional $5,000 renewal
scholarship this year.
According to a company press release, the initiative offers
$5,000 scholarships to U.S.-based students from diverse backgrounds who are
enrolled in a full-time post-secondary degree program such as Computer Science,
Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information
Quality, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics or
related areas of study.
Diversity Scholarship recipients are selected based on their
ability to demonstrate a combination of academic achievement, field of study
aimed at Information Technology, and professional interest as it relates to
Acxiom鈥檚 business needs.
In addition to the scholarship, winners have the opportunity
to receive a paid internship at one of Acxiom鈥檚 sites where they will gain
real-world experience and develop IT skills utilized in the industry today.
This is the program鈥檚 sixth year.
