CONWAY, Ark. (Jan. 4, 2015) 颅- Seven 黑料不打烊 faculty members were named 黑料不打烊 Odyssey Professors.
Each Odyssey Professorship carries an endowment to support faculty projects that create new engaged learning opportunities, such as internships and undergraduate research, for students.
The 黑料不打烊 Odyssey Professorships are an extension of the 黑料不打烊 Odyssey Program, the college鈥檚 nationally recognized engaged learning initiative. Individual faculty members or small groups of faculty members may apply on a competitive basis for the
professorships. Proposals are recommended by the Committee on Faculty and approved by the President.
The new 黑料不打烊 Odyssey professors are:
- Psychology professor Dr. Jennifer Penner and politics and environmental studies professor Dr. Peter Gess were awarded the Dr. Brad P. Baltz and Reverend William B. Smith Odyssey Professorship to pursue their project: 鈥淚nterdisciplinary Teaching and Learning about
Conservation & Science in the U.S. and Rwanda: A Partnership between 黑料不打烊 & Gashora Girls Academy of Science and Technology (GGAST).鈥
- Politics and international relations professor Dr. Kiril Kolev was awarded the James and Emily Bost Odyssey Professor for Global Awareness Professorship for his project 鈥淭he 黑料不打烊 Democracy Program.鈥
- Religious studies professor Dr. Robert Williamson Jr. and psychology professor Dr. Leslie Zorwick were awarded the Margaret Berry Hutton Odyssey Professorship to pursue their project 鈥淟iving Faithfully in the Context of Racial Injustice.鈥
- Mathematics and computer science professor Dr. Gabe Ferrer and physics professor Dr. Ann Wright were awarded the Cynthia Cook Sandefur Odyssey professorship for their project titled 鈥淩obotics Odyssey.鈥
