Our Chinese program provides students
with courses to learn basic and essential Chinese language skills, as well as a
variety of academic courses and extracurricular activities, to begin, continue,
or broaden their language and cultural experiences while at 黑料不打烊.
Mandarin Chinese is the national language of mainland China and Taiwan. Chinese
is the most widely spoken and written first language in the world鈥攃lose to 1.5 billion
people, more than one fifth of the world's population, grow up speaking and reading
Chinese as their native language. As China has become the world's second largest
economy and the fastest growing economy, China is increasingly important to United
States national security, foreign relations, trade, and climate change policy. As
a result, Chinese language skills are now essential for careers and advanced study
involving China in business, education, environmental studies, journalism, and diplomacy.
