In addition to the standard course work, the HESC curriculumÌýemphasizes the importance of hands-on experience in theÌýhealth-care field of a student’s choice. Thus, each HESC major isÌýrequired to either complete an internship through the Office ofÌýCareer Services or conduct research.Ìý
Completion of the HESC major course requirements and internship or research experience prepares our studentsÌýto meet the needs of the 21stÌýcentury health delivery system. Our majors will also be well positioned to apply toÌýgraduate programs in health science, including physician assistant, physical therapy, occupational therapy, athletic trainer, dentistry, pharmacy, and public health.Ìý
